Connecticut DDS Support Services
Butler Rescue Hands, Inc. provides community-based services for individuals supported by the Connecticut Department of Developmental Services. Our focus is helping individuals strengthen skills, participate in their communities, pursue employment, increase independence, and work toward personally meaningful goals.
Individualized Home Supports (IHS)
Support may include daily living skills, household routines, meal preparation, organization, communication, community participation, safety awareness, social skills, appointment support, and individualized goals.
Individualized Day Supports (IDS)
Meaningful individualized day experiences may focus on community participation, social development, volunteering, recreation, health and wellness, communication, independent living skills, and natural community connections.
The goal is not simply to fill the day. It is to make the day meaningful.
Supported Employment (Individual & Group)
Support can help individuals explore interests, build workplace skills, prepare for jobs, obtain employment, and maintain workplace success through individualized job coaching and support.
Prevocational Services
Services can help develop communication, task completion, schedule-following, teamwork, problem solving, workplace behavior, safety, time management, and confidence.
Senior Supports
For aging adults with developmental disabilities, Senior Supports can provide meaningful activities and individualized assistance while services adapt to changing interests, abilities, routines, and support needs.
