Homemaker and Companion Services
Homemaker and companion services can be useful when an older adult or individual with a disability needs assistance keeping up with household routines or would benefit from regular social interaction. Support may be appropriate when tasks such as housekeeping, laundry, meal preparation, organization, conversation, or community activities become difficult to manage independently. Across New Haven County and other communities served, assistance can take place in the home or during appropriate activities outside the home.
